Hello! Thank you for stopping in to check out my humble foraging business! My name is Uriah Beauchamp. I am a forager, educator and outdoor guide who is passionate about teaching real world skills in the great outdoors. I have had a keen interest in nature since I was young, when I could be found roaming the yard and neighborhood in search of mushrooms, plants and grasshoppers and other critters.
I earned degrees in Humanities and Spanish from CU Boulder, and have been teaching everything from foraging and survival skills to mountain biking to organic farming and Permaculture in Colorado in the years since, with my experience totaling over a decade of guiding and teaching work in the outdoors. This allowed me to work extensively with both adults and kids in various outdoor settings.
My interests include ecology, mycology, fungi, foraging, herbal medicine, survival skills and bushcraft, plant identification and botany, permaculture and organic farming, irrigation, and mountain biking. My goal is to share the joy of foraging with as many people as I can. I want to empower people to forage their own food and medicine and be more self-sufficient, sustainable, and connected to the land through the ancient traditions of foraging.
